Responsibilities
- Be familiar and well versed with their job description/responsibilities, the IDS group of company Manuals, SOPs, forms and relevant regulation/legislation applicable.
- Supervise, perform and participate in the maintenance/installation/alteration to electrical and mechanical systems for projects (land/maritime).
- Proficient in identifying and able to diagnoses and performing troubleshooting of electrical and systems failures using appropriate manuals, instructions, drawings and test equipment to detect and effect required maintenance, repairs, or replacement requirements.
- Lead a team in installation, fault diagnosis and troubleshooting of system defects; in performing corrective maintenance and planned maintenance; in accordance with manual / drawings / diagrams
- Plan and schedule manpower, ability to plan the sequence of works to ensure timely completion of project work activities.
- Liaise with customers and contractors on works to be carried out; plan and arrange inspection and acceptance for project; prepare all required test procedures and obtain approval from manager/customers.
- Forecast and maintains adequate inventories of electrical/mechanical spare parts and requisitions replacements as required.
- Maintains a documented records of all mechanical/electrical system maintenance histories, date, and extent of repairs and/or alterations.
- All other duties as assigned by supervisor.

This includes making support structures for composite molds and installing interior parts such as panels, doors, and cabinets according to ship drawings and quality standards.
Marine Electrical Technician
